TheWarRoomfacesascenariothathashauntedwesternstrategistssincecivilwarbrokeoutinUkrainepotentialRussianmilitaryinvolvementintheBalticStatesofLatviaandEstonia.LikeUkrainethesecountrieshavesizableRussianspeakingminorities,butunlikeUkrainetheyaremembersofNATO,whosefoundingtreatystatesthatanattackononeallyisanattackonallofthem.Becauseofthis,westernanalystsregularlywargameasituationwhereRussiaseekstoexploitethnictensionsintheBalticandtestthestrengthoftheNATOAlliance.
